Any registered Webelos Scout (including third-grade graduates) may attend Webelos Camp. Webelos camp programs are conducted during the summer at the Theodore Naish Scout Reservation. Webelos camp is a three-day, two-night experience, and contains separate activities for first- and second-year Webelos.
- The First-Year Webelos program includes activities that introduce Scouts to an outdoor camping experience.
- Requirements for Aquanaut, Archery, BB Shooting, Build It, Building a Better World, First Responder, Into the Wild, and Outdoorsman Activity Pins are offered.
- The Second-Year Webelos program is designed to help prepare older Webelos for their transition to Scouts BSA and Scout BSA Camping.
- Highlights include Action Archery, Adventures in Science, BB Shooting, Climbing & Cope Games, Earth Rocks, Into the Woods, and Rockets.
- New Outdoor Skills and Games areas allow Scouts to have fun in an outdoor camp setting while teaching them how to work together.
- Various certification courses like Youth Protection Training, Safe Swim Defense & Safety Afloat, Weather Hazards, and Scouts BSA Fast Start Training for Adult Leaders are also offered.
- Knowledgeable Commissioners are on hand to help and serve.

General Information
Two registered adults (21 years of age or over) are required for all packs to attend camp. All scouts and two adult applications will need to be turned in before your camp session. Due to safety concerns, if the two registered adult requirement is not met, your pack will be asked to return home until the registered leadership requirement is met.
We will only collect the $50.00 non-refundable deposit per full-time camper at the time of registration in January. You should be prepared to provide the following information when you register for Webelos Camp:
The names of all Scouts and Adults attending Webelos Camp along with your final payment will be due on or before the final payment date. You will be able to add or remove reserved spots on or before the final payment day. There are no part-time youth campers at Webelos Camp.
- At least two (2) adults camping at Webelos Camp must be registered with the BSA; it is encouraged that all adults attending Webelos Camp be registered with the BSA.
- Please ensure all youth and two (2) adults are registered PRIOR to arriving at Webelos Camp. This will make your check-in much smoother and prevent us from asking campers to go home until they become registered.
- ALL Adults are required to complete Youth Protection Training before attending camp. Bring a copy of the certificate to camp when checking in.
- Regardless of the parental relationship between female youth and male adults, if a unit has 1 or more female youth attending Webelos Camp, there must be a female leader attending from the unit or they must partner with another unit to share female leadership. Council will work with your units to assist in female leadership partnerships.
- Please notify the HOAC Camping Office of any Adults or Den Chiefs attending Webelos Camp with your Pack and the Scouts BSA Troop unit number with which the Den Chief is registered.
- Pack roster and final payment must be submitted in Council Ware on or before the final payment date.
- Facebook Live Webelos Orientation will be available on Naish's Facebook page by the end of April.
- Webelos Adult Orientation Meeting for the 2024 Camping Season is TBD.
- You may review the 2024 Council Camp Refund Policy and download many other resources for your Webelos Camp experience at the HOAC Camping Resources page.
To adjust your existing registration or for any questions or concerns regarding Webelos Camp, contact Terri O'Neal at terri.oneal@scouting.org or 816-569-4930.

Frequently Asked Questions About Webelos Camp
Please click on each question below for the answer.
- Is a female adult required to attend camp when a female youth attends?
- Regardless of the parental relationship between female youth and male adults, if a unit has 1 or more female youth attending Webelos Camp, there must be a female leader attending from the unit or they must partner with another unit to share female leadership. Council will work with your units to assist in female leadership partnership.
- Do All Adults have to currently be registered with the BSA?
- At least two (2) adults camping at Webelos Camp must be registered with the BSA; it is encouraged that all adults attending Webelos Camp be registered with the BSA. There are no exceptions to this policy. Please ensure at least two (2) adults are registered prior to arriving at Webelos Camp. This will make your check-in much smoother and prevent us from asking unregistered campers to go home until they become registered.
- How many adults must attend Webelos Camp?
- At Webelos Camp, only 2-deep leadership per pack is required, more parents may attend, but it is not a required one-on-one camping experience.
- How are refunds handled?
- See Camping Resources for the refund policy.
- What do I do if an adult is registered with a Troop, not the Pack?
- Write them in on the roster list with their troop number and then just have them show proof of registration (their BSA registration card) at camp.
- What about the Adult Orientation Meetings?
- At least one adult from your unit who is camping with you this summer at Webelos camp should attend one of these meetings. The Webelos Adult’s Guide will be available for pick-up at these meetings.
- If one Scout can't go, can another go in his place?
- Yes, just let the Council Office (terri.oneal@scouting.org) know of any changes to the roster, or submit changes with the final payment (see below). There is no penalty for switching one Scout for another.
- What Health Form do I need to attend Webelos Camp?
- The Annual Health and Medical Record with parts A and B completed is the appropriate form. It can be found here: Annual Health and Medical Form.
- Does a doctor need to sign the health form?
- No. Only sections A & B need to be filled out. No doctor signature is necessary as Webelos Camp is under 72 hours.
- How are Campership monies handled?
- Submit the Campership application to the Council Service Center. Once the Campership money has been applied, it will go towards the Webelos Camp bill for the unit. Go to the Camping Resource page to print a Campership form.
- When is a final roster due?
- The final roster is due at the same time as the final payment, April 24, 2024. In the beginning of April, the Webelos Camp primary contact will receive a billing statement and the current camp roster, if there are any changes, submit the Webelos Camp Event Roster (with changes) with the final payment.
- What if I'm the only one in my unit that wants to attend Webelos Camp?
- Great! For Webelos Camp, we require 2-deep leadership per pack, but if you're the only one that wants to attend Webelos Camp, participants can be paired up with another unit attending the session you choose. Contact Larry Strickland in the Camping Department at the Council office (terri.oneal@scouting.org) and we will get you camping!
- What are the swimming requirements?
- The BSA swimmer requirements can be found in the Webelos Scout Book.
- Do the campsites have an electrical outlet nearby for my CPAP machine?
- There are electrical outlets in the Pavilion where these campers can sleep, although it is without a tent and the cot is in the open. The best idea is to run it off a battery. (We had one adult run his off a battery pack from a computer.)
- Can I use my unit account to pay for Webelos Summer Camp?
- Yes. But you will not be able to use the unit account to register for camp. You can apply funds from your unit account to the balance.
