Instilling values in young people is the mission of the BSA and Leave No Trace helps reinforce that mission and reminds us to respect the outdoors. At our Leave No Trace course, participants will learn how to implement minimal impact tactics, and other ways to protect our natural world.
October 11-13, 2024 | Bartle Scout Reservation
Take aim at adventure at Shoot-A-Palooza October 11-13 at the Bartle Scout Reservation.
Activities include an overview of safe shooting sports practices and will include multi-target presentation shotgun shooting, precision rifle shooting, paint ball accuracy shooting, distance and action archery, slingshots, BB guns and several other shooting opportunities.

The Israel Scouts Friendship Caravan is making tour stops in Kansas City again this summer. A FREE performance will be held at the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park on Monday, July 24 at 7:00 pm. The show will include songs in Hebrew, English and Yiddish, bringing a lively, fun-filled taste of Israel and International Scouting to Kansas City.

Explore the National WWI Museum and Memorial during Scout Day on Saturday, January 21. Take a self-guided tour with your group anytime during museum hours from 10am - 5pm. Scouts of all ages can also begin work on Cub Scout Adventures and merit badges with the museum's official requirements guidebook.

BALOO or Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation will help Cub Scout leaders become more aware of outdoor activities and serves as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for units interested in offering a camping component to their pack activities. July 30 - August 4 | Naish Scout Reservation
It’s where leaders learn to lead. As Scouting’s premier leadership development program, NYLT focuses on the concept of what a leader must be, what a leader must know, and what a leader must do. This six-day course is designed to give Scouts the confidence and knowledge to run unit level programs and serves as a platform for Scouts to share ideas and experiences with their peers.

Begin November 2021 | Online Courses A Scout is Reverent and the Religious Emblems program allows Scouts to recognize their Duty to God. Now, we're offering FREE online workshops to help Scouts of all faiths begin their path towards earning their religious emblem.
