Ten Commandments Trek

May 22, 2022 | Throughout Kansas City

Explore the spiritual values and worship experiences of 4 different faith traditions. Our Ten Commandments Interfaith Trek is back this May and will visit Catholic, Buddhist, Hindu and Islamic houses of worship on Sunday, May 22 from 8:30am - 2:30pm.

We will experience a worship service, learn about that religion and hear how each interprets the Ten Commandments.

National Youth Leadership Training

June 5-10 & July 31 - August 5 | Naish Scout Reservation

It’s where leaders learn to lead. As Scouting’s premier leadership development program, NYLT focuses on the concept of what a leader must be, what a leader must know, and what a leader must do.

This six-day course is designed to give Scouts the confidence and knowledge to run unit level programs and serves as a platform for Scouts to share ideas and experiences with their peers.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course

Instilling values in young people is the mission of the BSA and Leave No Trace helps reinforce that mission and reminds us to respect the outdoors. Wilderness First Aid

Being prepared in Scouting often means being ready to render first aid. As we go farther into the backcountry with our units, some additional training is needed. Wilderness first aid (WFA), the next step up from the basic first aid, focuses on teaching assessment skills and using available resources when professional responders may be hours or even days away.

WWI Museum Scout Day

January 29, 2022 | National WWI Museum and Memorial

Explore the National WWI Museum and Memorial for FREE on January 29 during our first ever Scout Day! Scouting for Food

November 20, 2021 | Your Neighborhood

We're teaming up with Harvesters and food pantries across the metro for Scouting for Food, a neighborhood based food collection campaign that will help feed the hungry across Kansas City this holiday season. Items collected stay in your community and will be distributed directly to more than 30 partner agencies.

It's easy for Scouts to participate and it happens all within your neighborhood on November 13 and November 20.
