Sporting Clays Classic

The Council's Sporting Clays Classic will conduct its reception and auction on Friday, October 6th at The Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS.  The Sporting Clays Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 7th on our trust property near Camp Naish again this year.

The year's event is chaired by Chris Jones of Jones Development Company. The event raises funds to support the Heart of America Council. If you would like more information on the Sporting Clays Classic and auction, please contact Bob Hamlin, Senior Development Director, at (816) 569-4921

Over the past few years, this event has proven to be extremely popular because of the great fellowship, fabulous auction, and an outstanding sporting clays course.

Proceeds fund the Heart of America Council’s mission of leadership & character development programs for more than 29,000 youth in the Kansas City area.

Experienced and novice shooters alike are encouraged to attend. Bring your colleagues, clients, family and friends to a fun event of shooting and fundraising. Awards will be presented to the top three teams in each flight.

Benefits to teams include the following:

  1. 100 round sporting clays course using the Lewis Class system for scoring and determining team winners in 4 groups.
  2. Shotguns NOT provided
  3. 12 gauge ammo provided. You must bring your own ammo for other gauges.
  4. BBQ lunch provided
  5. Each team will be provided a four man golf cart or two, two-man carts.
  6. Shooting favor for participants
  7. Water and restrooms available on course.
