Blue Elk Outdoor Leadership Skills and Scoutmaster/Asst. Scoutmaster Training

October 11-12, 2019

Cost is $15 per person.

Training will be held at the Camporee in Landahl Park in Independence.

Outdoor Leadership Skills Training starts on Friday at 5:00 pm and ends on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
Scoutmaster/Asst. Scoutmaster Training starts on Saturday at 1:00 pm to 3:30pm.

Skills Covered: Camp setup, outdoor cooking, woods tools, ropes & knots, first aid, campfire programs, map reading and compass skills, hiking and packing techniques, nature identification, and Leave No Trace, fire building, basic backpacking skills.

Blue Elk District Klondike

January 18th, 2020 | 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Klondike will be held at American Legion Farm (499 MO-7, Blue Springs, MO 64015). The event officially begins at 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday, January 18.

Early Bird Fee is $8.00 per person until Jan 9, 2020. Troops may camp Friday, but camping out is not a required part of the event. Reservations must be made with the Klondike staff.

Klondike is a District event in which Boy Scouts participate in a winter skills competition. Pre-registration is requested in order for us to provide materials to all participants.

Blue Elk District Dinner

January 25, 2020 | 6:00 PM

District Dinner will be held at the Colonial Hills Community of Christ Church (3539 MO-7 Hwy, Blue Springs, MO 64014). 

Cost is $20 for a 2019 Eagle Scout and $25 for all other reservations. **Troops are encouraged to pay for their 2019 Eagle Scouts so they may attend this event and be recognized for their achievement.**

The Blue Elk District Dinner is an opportunity to recognize adult Scouters for their dedication to Scouting, as well as new and deserving Eagle Scouts. In addition, we will be recognizing the District Award of Merit recipients, the Spirit Award and the Silent Service Award. All Packs, Troops, and Crews are invited to attend this formal occasion.
