The BSA's STEM Nova Awards program is designed to bring awareness to STEM and provide recognition to Scouts who go beyond current advancement requirements to pursue a STEM topic. Effective immediately, the STEM Nova Awards program has been discontinued on the national level, but we will continue to recognize those Scouts who continue to work towards their STEM Nova Awards locally.
Any STEM Nova Awards earned at anytime in 2023 will be recognized. Please contact our program department for any award questions.
Our council will also continue to offer FREE downloads of our STEMovation App to encourage further exploration of STEM related topics.
The STEM Nova Award website will remain active as a national resource for the requirements with all other aspects of the award moved to the local council. This includes recognition items such as the STEM Nova patch, pins, certificates, and plaques.
We know that STEM is a vital part of career education and the Heart of America Council will continue to evolve and offer STEM programming to our youth members. Stay tuned for further updates and upcoming STEM-centric activities offered by our council.
