FEMA Region VII is proud to announce the ReadyScout event on Saturday, July 27, 2019. Designed as a traditional Merit Badge Academy, ReadyScout will offer requirement fulfillment for 7 Merit Badges all focused on emergency readiness and public safety. Coordination between federal, state, and local agencies gives an immersive overview of disaster and emergency workers, the programs they run, and the people they serve.
Each Merit Badge Module is instructed by a professional in the area, employed in the subject matter. This will allow Scouts to obtain a real-life view of what public service in emergency professions entails.
- Cost: FREE
- Registration is required and seating/attendance is limited to 175 Scouts.
- Scouts must select 3 Merit Badges (1 per session)
- Each Merit Badge is limited to 25 Scouts
