Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venture Scouts are encouraged to participate in local and council community projects and record the hours donated using the Journey to Excellence (JTE) website. It is recommended you first visit the above council Community Service page to familiarize yourself with the process before logging in for the first time. Friends of Scouting
Scouting in our community thrives because of generous donations from Scouting supports. Businesses and families alike donate to Scouting each year to ensure Scouts in the program are able to participate in all we have to offer. The current cost to deliver the Scouting program in the Heart of America Council is $175 per Scout per year. Family Investment in Character presentations take place during pack and troop meetings, or you may be contacted by a volunteer from your unit. Family Investment in Character is an opportunity for Scouting families to directly support the Scouting program they know and enjoy. For more information on Investment in Character, click here.
