The Heart of America Council is proud to announce the selection of Scott Boswell as the 2015 Council President. Scott is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Commerce Trust Company’s West Region. He has oversight of all Commerce Trust lines of business, including Private Client, Private Banking and Institutional Money Management. He also serves as Trust Company-wide head of the Institutional Services and Corporate Trust business lines. Scott joined Commerce Trust as Managing Director in Kansas City in January of 2007 and has over 20 years of investment management experience.
Scott holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Westminster College. In addition to the Heart of America Council, Scott holds leadership roles on a variety of charitable and industry boards including past Trustee of Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri; President of the board of The Kansas City Chorale; Chairman of the Board of The Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Board of St. Luke’s Health System Foundation and Board of the American Royal.
An Eagle Scout, Scott is also an Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow. He most recently served the council as Vice President of Administration and Chairman of the inaugural Scouting 500. Scott and his wife, Robin, have two Eagle Scout sons.
