Scouting relies on dedicated volunteers to promote its mission of preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
Through the dedication of these many volunteers, the Boy Scouts of America remains the foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training in America.
Journey to Excellence
Scouting is about fun with your friends and your family and learning to live in the outdoors and working together. It’s about camping, hiking, and becoming a leader. Scouting is also about experiencing a career or business first hand.

"Quality District since 1995"
The Pioneer Trails District serves the Kansas City metropolitan area and covers both Kansas City, Missouri and Center School districts. The district is organized to support the volunteer unit Scouters as they provide the programs of the Boy Scouts of America, to the youth of this area. The membership of the district reflects the diversity of Kansas City. We serve a large number of youth from the central city, as well as youth from the more suburban areas of the city. This mix allows for growth opportunities for our youth.
Beginning in September the Pioneer Trails District Commissioner and Committee meetings will be held at Wornall Road Baptist Church at 400 W. Meyer Blvd.
Commissioner meeting begins at 6:30 PM and Committee meeting begins at 7:30 PM.
