At the 2000 Tribal Feast, Lloyd Briggs, Medicine Man Silver Running Bear, was named as the 71st Presiding Chieftain of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.

Lloyd became an Honorary Warrior in 1969, a Sachem in 1984, and a Medicine Man in 1989.

Lloyd has received the Scouter's Award, Scouter's Key, Paul D. Arend Award, Award of Merit, and the Silver Beaver. He received his Wood Badge Training at Philmont. Lloyd served as an Assistant Scoutmaster at the 1991 World Jamboree in Korea, and on the staff at the 1993 National Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. Additionally, Lloyd has served on the Bartle Commissioner Staff for many years.

Lloyd has served as Cubmaster and Committee Chairperson for Pack 483, Scoutmaster and Committee Chairperson for Troop 347, Blue Elk District Commissioner, and Council Commissioner for the Heart of America Council. He is currently serving on the Executive Board for Heart of America Council.

Professionally, Lloyd worked as an Accounting Analyst for Farmland Industries prior to his retirement. He has served as an Elder, Deacon, Treasurer, and Board Chairman for Eastgate Christian Church.
