C. Jack Phillips

Jack received the Scouter's Key, Award of Merit, and the Silver Beaver. He earned the adult Religious Award, and was a Vigil Honor member of Order of the Arrow.
Jack served in many leadership positions at the troop, district, and council level. A small sample of these include serving as the Committee Chairperson for Troop 288, District Commissioner for Great Frontier District, and Advancement Chairperson for North Star District. Additionally, Jack directed the council's Sharing Native American Ways Seminar for many years.
Jack saw combat in Europe while serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was called back for service during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an engineer for the Corps of Engineers.
Jack served on the Bartle Camp Staff for many years. Staff positions held include Sawmill Camp Director, Lone Star Camp Director, Mic-O-Say Advisor, and Reservation Commissioner.
Jack received the Silver Coup in 1992, became the Directing Medicine Man in 1995, and the Senior Medicine Man in 1998.
