Abaco Islands - June 20-27, 2015
The Heart of America Council is sponsoring an international trip next summer to the Abaco Islands in the northern Bahamas. With activities that may include sailing instructions, snorkeling, swimming, fishing, beach combing, shelling, shore visits to island settlements, and SCUBA, there will be plenty to keep you busy on this trip.
This opportunity is open to BSA-registered youth ages 14 and up at the time of departure and BSA registered adults. In addition, you must hold a current passport to travel as part of this contingent. Passport costs are the responsibility of the individual to cover.
You will spend most of your time on this trip on a boat at sea. Water depths in the sailing area range from 11 to 25 feet deep. Everyone will have to pass the BSA Swim Test PRIOR to departing on this trip.
The total ESTIMATED cost of this trip is currentyl at $1475/person. Scuba Diving will be available to participants at an additional cost. For details on the Scuba Diving opportunities, contact Tim Bodendistel, Contingent Organizer, at 913.707.5489.
