2017 Unit Popcorn Sale

Annually, units have the opportunity to sell popcorn as a way to pay for their program.  The Heart of America Council proudly supports this sale by providing logistical, training and financial incentives to help units fundraise for the necessary dollars to run their programs.  More than 70% of the total gross sales of popcorn stay with the unit and council to help operate Scouting in the local area.

Character Counts

Outside influences and life experiences contribute to the values and beliefs we carry with us throughout our lives. In society today, there are any opportunities for youth to make the wrong choices or follow a leader who will lead them astray. While Scouting can't remove the obstacles in life, it teaches young people to face challenges, manage risks and overcome barriers - to grow up strong, resilient and wise. Today's youth need Scouting and Scouting needs you. Support what counts... Character.

Types of Campaigns

Family Campaign- This campaign is designated for Families already involved in Scouting to invest in the Program.
So far in 2017 we have raised over $37,700 toward Scouting in our district. We are less than $20,000 short of reaching our $62,550 goal. Has your unit hit their IIC goal and received FREE rank advancement? Click here to help them reach their goal!

Community Campaign- This campaign looks for business in our communities that would like to invest in Scouting and hosts Special Events throughout the District where proceeds benefit our District's Investment in Character goal. Click here to learn more about our upcoming special event at Frontier Justice in Lee's Summit!
In 2017 we have raised $19,762.00 towards our $27,000 goal. Know a business in the High Trail District that could help? Contact us here!

Patron Luncheon- This event is a luncheon at the Marriott Muehlebach held in March. A keynote speaker is present to speak and individuals or a company sponsors or hosts a table for the luncheon. All proceeds directly benefit the Scouting program. For more information click here: http://www.hoac-bsa.org/patron-luncheon
At the 2017 Patron Luncheon, featuring guest speaker Kevin Lacz, we raised $11,820 for the High Trail District. Just short of our $16,000 goal by nearly $4,000 Thank you to all who attended this year! Want to attend next year? Email us here
