Unit Popcorn Sale

Annually, units have the opportunity to sell popcorn as a way to pay for their program.  The Heart of America Council proudly supports this sale by providing logistical, training and financial incentives to help units fundraise for the necessary dollars to run their programs.  More than 70% of the total gross sales of popcorn stay with the unit and council to help operate Scouting in the local area.

Character Counts

Outside influences and life experiences contribute to the values and beliefs we carry with us throughout our lives. In society today, there are any opportunities for youth to make the wrong choices or follow a leader who will lead them astray. While Scouting can't remove the obstacles in life, it teaches young people to face challenges, manage risks and overcome barriers - to grow up strong, resilient and wise. Today's youth need Scouting and Scouting needs you. Support what counts... Character.

Types of Campaigns

Family Campaign- This campaign is designated for Families already involved in Scouting to invest in the program.

Community Campaign- This campaign looks for business in our communities that would like to invest in Scouting and hosts Special Events throughout the District where proceeds benefit our District's Friends of Scouting goal.

Patron Luncheon- This event is a luncheon at the Kansas City Convention Center held in March. A keynote speaker is present to speak and individuals or a company sponsors or hosts a table for the luncheon. All proceeds directly benefit the Scouting program.
