The Friends of Scouting Campaign keeps Scouting an affordable, effective youth development program. It funds the council's infrastructure, or general operating portion of the budget, and provides a support system for the more than 18,000 volunteers and 700 community organizations that partner with the Heart of America Council.
The campaign is divided into two separate efforts: The Friends of Scouting Community Campaign, which seeks contributions from businesses, community leaders, and friends of the Scouting movement, and the Friends of Scouting Patron Campaign, which seeks contributions at the annual Heart of America Council Patron Lunch at Bartle Hall.
The North Star District is set to host a Pickleball Tournament at Chicken N Pickle on Sunday, November 15th! Proceeds from this event, as well as 10% of all profits made at Chicken N Pickle during this time frame, will go towards the district's Friends of Scouting campaign! To register, and for more information on this event, please click HERE. We would love to see you there, so come play pickleball with us or get a bite to eat (or both)!
