Colonial Presbyterian Church (9500 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114)
Dear 2019 Brave,
Last summer, you took upon yourself the Obligation of Mic-O-Say. Between now and then we hope you have grown in stature and maturity. Hopefully, those promises you made in SheSheBe Council Ring have guided and influenced your daily life.
To that end, I am requesting that you attend one of two New Brave Meetings that have been set up for you. The first meeting will be held Saturday, January 25 at Colonial Presbyterian Church (9500 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114). The second meeting will be held Saturday, February 29 at the Police Academy (6885 NE Pleasant Valley Rd, Kansas City, MO 64119). Both meetings will begin at 9:00am (8:30 check-in) and conclude around noon. Appropriate dress is casual or Class “B” uniform. One of our many activities will focus on Warrior attire. Representatives from Parry Lodge will be on hand to assist with your selections and to give advice on constructing your attire. Before summer arrives you must have a choker, headband, bells and a pair of aprons. Your front apron is to be decorated with a representation of your tribal name. Under the aprons you need to wear a dark colored pair of shorts.
Tribal Council anticipates greeting you at camp this summer. If you have demonstrated those qualities needed to wear the double claws of a Warrior, it will be our pleasure to guide you along the trail that you must follow. Your path will be made easier if you do some preliminary work before coming to camp.
The Tribal leadership is waiting to welcome you once more to the Inner Circle. We look forward to seeing you at one of the January or February meetings and of course, at Bartle. If we can be of assistance to you, please do not feel any hesitancy in making contact. Remember, YOU are the future of Mic-O-Say.
In the spirit of friendship and warmth,
Lester Ham, Medicine Man Four Shields
