Join us for Roundtable

Roundtable is a resource meeting for units to obtain valuable program information to bring back to their unit leaders and youth. Topics covered and resources available include: monthly program planning, supplemental trainings, Eagle project reviews and Boards of Review, opportunity to network with other leaders, printed materials from the Heart of America Council, information on upcoming activities and events.

Join us the first Tuesday of every month (excluding July) at 7:15 p.m.

Cass County Elks Lodge, 2402 Route 291, Harrisonville, MO 64701

Youth membership is the life blood of the Boy Scouts of America. The only way to maintain a healthy membership is to provide top quality District Activities, promote the importance of Summer Camp, and provide the best Training available to every registered Adult Leader. We strive to do the very best job we can in these key areas.  For additional information on membership and recruiting click here.

Activities & Camping

The Spirit Trail District and all its dedicated adult volunteers put on a number of tremendous events for our Scouts. Events include the Merit Badge Academy, District Adult and Eagle Recognition Dinner, Cub Scout Day Camp, Cub Scout Family Campout, Fall Camporee, and Klondike Derby. For dates and a description of each event click here.

Day Camp

Cub Scout Day Camp is five days of exciting fun, exciting program activities and adventure at a location close to home with no overnight stay.  Day Camp is an introductory outdoor program for Tigers, Cub Scouts, and Webelos with little camping experience.  Programs are run by BSA National Camp School trained volunteers and are inspected and accredited annually by the Heart of America Council.  For more information click here.

Community Service

Link to council page: https://www.hoac-bsa.org/community-service.  Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Venture Scouts are encouraged to participate in local and council community projects and record the hours donated using the Journey to Excellence (JTE) website.  It is recommended you first visit the council Community Service page to familiarize yourself with the process before logging in for the first time.  Recording service hours is quick and easy including setting up the account for the first time.  You will need your Unit ID to create the account.  This Unit ID can be obtained from your District Activity Chair or Senior District Executive.

District Leadership

Friends of Scouting

Scouting in our community thrives because of generous donations from Scouting supports. Businesses and families alike donate to Scouting each year to ensure Scouts in the program are able to participate in all we have to offer. For more information on Friends of Scouting, click here.
