Troop Committee Challenge
Troop Committee training will be offered at the December Roundtable on December 8, 2016 at Central United Methodist Church.
As many of you know, the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America has issued a mandate that 100% of registered adult volunteers (in any position) be Youth Protection trained. Additionally, every new leader MUST be Youth Protection trained BEFORE he or she can submit the adult application to become a registered member. "Every Scout deserves a trained leader"
One of the keys to a successful Scouting experience for young people, second only to the selection of the right person for each responsibility, is trained volunteer leadership. Leadership training provides adult leaders with fundamental information about the aims and methods of the movement, as well as specifics about their particular roles in Scouting.
Whether you are a new leader or an experienced leader, there is a training program for you! You might be wondering where to start, or what to do! Training can help!
