Scouting 500 to Welcome Granddaughter of Baden Powell

Mar 15, 2014

May 16-18, 2014 - Kansas Speedway

Gill Clay, the granddaughter of Scouting's founder, Lord Robert Baden Powell, will make her way to the Midwest for the Heart of America Council's Scouting 500 on May 16-18 at Kansas Speedway. She will be on hand to meet with Scouts and leaders and share her personal experiences as a member of Scouting's First Family. Stop by the International Scouting tent located in the Scouting 500 Midway for your chance to meet Gill.

Gill is currently a Scout leader in the United Kingdom. She is a lifelong member of the Girl Guides and the Scout Association and supports Scouting across the world. Gill recently received the Silver World Award, which is given to Scouters who have made a significant contribution to Scouting internationally, but are not members of the BSA.

We look forward to welcoming Ms. Clay to the Heart of America Council and celebrating our rich history and exciting future together for a once in a lifetime experience.
