2017 Family Investment in Character
Before March 31, 2017, your unit should schedule an Investment in Character presentation. Ideal settings for the presentation would be the Blue & Gold Banquet or a Troop Court of Honor, but please make sure they are event conducive to a successful presentation (high attendance, audience attention, etc.)
The Investment in Character Campaign is the direct fundraising campaign conducted annually by the Heart of America Council to provide each family in Scouting the opportunity to make a financial contribution to the operating success of the Council. Without the financial support of our families, many of the services available to units such as youth camperships, camp staff scholarships, adult leader training, insurance, full-time staff at the office and camps, and recruitment and marketing materials would be severely compromised or unavailable.
Please schedule your presentation to occur between November 2016 - March 2017. Please submit your presentation information by December 16.
To schedule your unit's presentation, please fill out the Google Form found here.
If you have questions, please email Julia Burr or give her a call at
To contribute now online to the Investment in Character Campaign, click here or on the "DONATE" button in the top right corner of the page. Please be sure to indicate your unit number and/or Northern Lights District in the allocation of your gift.
