At the 2009 Tribal Celebration, Terry Miller, Sachem Least Painted Ground, was named the 80th Presiding Chieftain of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.

As a youth, Terry was a Boy Scout in Troop 278 in Independence, MO where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Terry became a Brave in 1971, a Warrior in 1972, and a Firebuilder in 1973. In 2004, Terry was elevated to Sachem.

Terry is a charter member of Troop 218 at the Church of the Ascension in Overland Park, KS where he has served in the capacity of Committee Chairman, Eagle Advisor and Charter Organization Representative. His son, Ross, earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 218.

Terry serves the Heart of America Council as a member of the Executive Board and Executive Committee. In 2007 and 2008, he served as the Council President.

Terry received the highest award that can be bestowed by the Heart of America Council, the Silver Beaver Award.

Terry holds an undergraduate and a graduate degree in architecture from the University of Kansas and is currently the CEO of HNTB Architecture, a national architectural and engineering company with offices through the country.
