At the 2010 Tribal Feast, Thomas W. Lenz, Keeper of the Wampum Walking Two Feathers, was named the 81st Presiding Chieftain of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.

Tom has served as a Webelos leader for Pack 270, Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster, Venturing Crew Leader and Committee Member for Troop 270 and is currently a Committee Member for Troop 303.

Tom became an Honorary Warrior in 1985 and accepted the additional responsibilities of a Sachem in 1997 and then of a Keeper of the Wampum in 2002. He is a Life Member Dog Soldier of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.

Tom has served the North Star District as Camporee Chairman, District Recognition Dinner Chairman, Activities Chairman, District Commissioner and District Chairman. Since 1999 he has been a member of the Heart of America Executive Board. During this period Tom has served the Council as Relationships Committee Chairman, Dean of the College of Commissioner Service and is currently the Camping Committee Chairman.

Tom has received the highest award that can be bestowed by the Heart of America Council, the Silver Beaver Award. He has also received the North Star District Award of Merit and is a James West Fellow.

Professionally, Tom recently retired from as a Senior Executive in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. At the time of his retirement he had national responsibility for the field aspects of the traditional Medicare program. He is now a Principal with MatrixPointe a healthcare consulting services firm.

Tom served in the Air Force as a crew member on a C-130 transport aircraft during the Vietnam conflict. Tom and his wife Karen (deceased) have three children and one granddaughter. Their daughter Deborah is currently an Assistant Principal in the North Kansas City School District and their sons Brian and Daniel are both Eagle Scouts and Fire Builders in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Their only grandchild, Ava, is currently a Junior Girl Scout.
