Council Service Center (10210 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131)

Attention Scouts BSA Girl Troop Leaders,

You are invited to attend an information session for new Scouts BSA Troops where you will learn about program opportunities provided to you and your Troop. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 26th at 7pm at the Heart of America Council Service Center located at 10210 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO.

As leaders of new troops, we know that many of you have years of experience in the Scouting program and that there are some of you that are brand new. Our goal is to ensure that every Scouts BSA girl unit is aware of the potential opportunities available for those young ladies to participate in.  At this meeting, we will have the Piercing Arrow Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director, our Council VP of Program, Council Commissioner, and representatives from the Camping, Training, Activities, and Advancement committees.

The summer camping season is now underway and 2019 marks the start of a new chapter in Scouts BSA and the Heart of America Council as we host our All Girls Session at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation. Even though your unit might be attending camp elsewhere, we would like to ensure that your unit is educated on what is being offered at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation and how this process is working. If you have girls that will not be attending camp with your unit, or would like to attend multiple summer camps, we would like to extend the invitation for them to attend summer camp at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation with a host unit. There is still room for an additional 200 campers during the 5th session camp in Piercing Arrow.

We will not just be informing your unit about what is going on at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation, but we will also inform you about what is available through the Heart of America Council’s operating committees. We will have information for youth leadership trainings, high adventure opportunities, National Jamboree, and local council activities.

We hope to see you there and answer any questions that you might have!
