Day Camp
Day Camp was a huge success! Our District had approximately 269 youth attend this year's camp. The activities were absolutely a blast and we were able to end camp with the Lawrence Fire Department Spraying the kids down! This year's Family night was a big hit with the Order of the Arrow Dancers attending. A big THANK YOU goes out to Alfred Cramer, Megan Helm, Karen Lewis and all the area coordinators that helped put together and make this camp possible! Thank you to everyone that helped and attended!
Roundtables
It is strongly recommended that everyone attends Roundtable. This is an informational event that takes place to make sure your Troop or Pack has all the materials and training you need to become successful. Roundtables are a good way to get all of your questions answered. Roundtable occurs the first Thursday of every month at 7pm at First Baptist Church in Lawrence off of Kasold Road. Every Unit has a file that is filled up each month with useful information and ideas. Please take the time to attend roundtable each and every month of the year.
Recruiting
Every Pack should be thinking about their Recruitment Night in the Fall. Each pack will need to decide who will be the Organizer for their Recruitment Night. We will be having the School Night Orientation Training along with the School Night Kickoff Meeting at the August 5th Roundtable. Every Coordinator and Organizer will be required to attend. Let's make this a record year and give every boy the opportunity to join the Scouts!!!!
