New Leader Training/Position Specific – Just getting started in Boy Scouting? To begin your training to be a Boy Scout Adult Leader, begin with these courses that are developed, not only for the new leader, but also for the protection of the youth and to help you to understand the basics of Boy Scouting. These courses are required, along with the appropriate Position Specific training, to be considered completely Trained in your registered position.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills
This training is for Second Year Webelos Leaders about to cross over into Boy Scouting, all Troop leaders who camp with youth, Venturing (depending on Crew's declared area of emphasis) and Varsity Leaders. It is required for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Varsity Coaches, and Assistant Varsity Scout Coaches.
