Cub Scout Recruiting:

School Night for Scouting is designed to enroll prospective Tiger Cubs and Cub Scouts into existing Packs, to enlist parent participation in the Scouting program, and to organize new dens or units to take care of boys who want to join.  School Night is not a Pack Meeting.

    • What can your Pack do to help?
      1. Coordinate the selection of the School Night date between your pack leaders and the district School Night team.
      2. Identify existing leadership and leadership needs.  Be prepared to fill the necesary positions.
      3. Recruit enough pack leaders to help with the School Night program—set up, etc.
      4. Have a presence at back-to-school, meet-the-teacher, or activity nights before School Night.
      5. Provide interesting displays of things the pack has done for the School Night pre-opening.
      6. Encourage all current Cubs to wear their uniforms to school on the day of School Night.
      7. Follow up with all new leaders and boys to make them feel welcome and a part of the pack.
      8. Ensure that Pack Leadership understands that School Night for Scouting is for new boys.
